Accountancy & Bookkeeping

Our primary business activity is the preparation of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and Jersey limited companies for submission and agreement with the Comptroller of Taxes in Jersey.

The majority of our clients use accounting software packages such as Quickbooks, Xero and Sage and, as a result, our staff are very familiar with their operation and are able to minimise the time spent preparing accounts. We have dedicated accredited QuickBooks/Xero trainers available to assist you.

We are confident that we can guide you and converse in language that you understand when explaining the important issues surrounding your accounts.

We also provide assistance with the setting up and subsequent maintenance of your computerised or manual accounting records on a regular basis.

Business Advice

We offer advice to new businesses and ventures and work closely with Jersey Business. Introductions can be made to local banks, lawyers and other intermediaries.

Assistance can be provided with making applications for licences under the Control of Housing and Work (Jersey) Law 2012 and the completion of Manpower Returns.

We can prepare forecasts and budgets for new and existing businesses and undertake an independent financial review of a business to highlight improvements, efficiencies and cost savings.

Computer and payroll services can be provided to enable completion of monthly IT IS and quarterly Social Services returns.

We can also carry out business valuations and forensic work and prepare financial reports in connection with insurance claims, business disputes, matrimonial settlements and other financial investigations.

Company Secretarial & Statutory

Our statutory and secretarial services are provided by our associated company La Ville Formations Limited, and its subsidiaries La Ville Secretaries Limited and La Ville Corporate Services Limited (which we usually just refer to as ‘La Ville’).

La Ville, which is owned and run by partners of the accountancy practice, is separately registered with the Jersey Financial Services Commission and permitted to conduct Class F, I, J and M Trust Company Business as defined by the Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998.

Specifically, this allows La Ville to provide the following services:

  • Company formation agent;
  • Secretary to a company;
  • Registered office or business address for a company, partnership or foundation;
  • Acting as a nominee shareholder.

We undertake Jersey and UK tax advisory services for Jersey resident individuals, individuals moving to the Island and offshore trusts and companies.

We prepare annual tax returns for individuals and tax computations for business clients and their subsequent agreement with the Comptroller of Taxes in Jersey or Administrator of Income Tax in Guernsey.

We provide advice on accounting for and preparing quarterly GST and monthly ITIS and social security returns.

We are constantly monitoring local tax issues and changes, and are always available to assist with tax planning and tax compliance matters for individuals, sole traders, trusts, partnerships and companies.

We also complete UK personal income tax returns for non-UK resident individuals and non-UK resident landlord returns for Jersey companies. We are able to assist with many UK tax matters and queries.
